Broken or Lost Equipment Doesn’t Have to Result in Lost Time

Date April 18, 2008

Running a business involves preparing for the unexpected and having a plan to stay efficient in spite of equipment troubles or break downs. This often happens in a busy office where everything from the copy machine to the fax breaks down, leaving employees frustrated and costing the company extra money.

With the Virtual PBX phone system, calls can be rerouted to any telephone in the event there is a problem with the equipment. Should the office phones go down, all calls can be directed to other landline phones and even cell phones. There will be no loss of communications and business can go on as usual.

There is nothing more frustrating for a customer than not being able to reach a company or staff member when they need to. Using the Virtual PBX phone system, calls will still be answered regardless of the situation. Communication does not suffer because something is not working correctly. The system is easy to set in the event of an emergency and there is no need to have additional staff stay onsite to man the phones should something happen to the entire office. Employees can still work at home and basically carry on as normal in a telecommuting capacity. Extensions can have their calls directed to the home phone or cell phone of each of the employees using the online management program. Because the PBX phone system does not require any special equipment, it doesn’t matter what kind of phones are used, making it easier to replace non-working lines.

Employees also have access to the virtual fax services in the event the office fax is not working. They can use the system to send faxes online and receive faxes via email without having to maintain additional equipment. Communication among staff remains strong, regardless of their location, allowing business to continue on as normal.
