Live Call Transfers Make Life on the Go Easy

Busy people need independence to get the job done. With the Virtual PBX phone system’s Live Call Transfer capabilities, staff is afforded such independence to go about their business and still be able to take the calls that are important to them.
There are several ways Live Call Transfer can work for a company or individual employee. Here are a few examples:
- Incoming call comes in and is directed to an extension number. The individual answering the call realizes the caller has misdialed or requested the wrong extension number. The employee can simply place the caller on hold and easily transfer the caller to the correct extension or department number.
- A customer service representative has been handling a phone call, speaking with a customer who perhaps is having technical difficulties with a product. For the customer service representative, it soon becomes clear the customer needs direct technical assistance. The CSR can place the caller on hold and dial the extension number for a technical representative and give out background information about the call. When the caller is transferred over, the new representative will already understand the issues the caller is having and will be able to communicate more effectively to deal with the issues.
- Incoming callers wishing to reach an employee that is located outside of the office can be placed on hold and transferred directly to an outside landline or a cell phone number. Callers will never be the wiser about the staff member’s location and will still receive top-notch service even from employees on the go, regardless of their location, without inconvenience.
- Callers who wish to be connected to an extension that is unavailable can still be transferred directly into the voicemail system of the extension holder, where they can leave a message for later retrieval and still feel like they have had success communicating directly with company representatives.
