Use Call Screening To Avoid Interruptions
May 6, 2008
Call Screening offers several wonderful and effective benefits:
Viewable Phone Number
The phone number of the person calling in is easily viewed and the caller can be identified.
Selective Call Answering
Calls can be answered or transferred based on the calls priority. Calls can be instantly routed to voice mail or another extension when the employee is engaged in more pressing work.
Call Block Options
For the phone numbers that are related to telemarketers or other bothersome callers, the option to block the number completely from reaching your extension will help limit the amount of disruptive calls throughout the day.
Set Answering Rules
Extension holders can preset answering rules that will direct calls from certain phone numbers to other extensions or voicemail automatically whenever the number is identified.
Another plus, is the ability to view the DNIS number, or the Dialed Number Identification Service. This service allows employees to view the phone number the incoming caller has dialed in order to reach the company. This service allows the company and its employees to track and implement more accurate marketing and promotions. Say you publish one of the phone numbers in the regular phone book and a different number in the newspaper. You will be able to gage the response from both mediums and more effectively use your advertising dollars.
Using the Virtual PBX phone system’s caller identification service can also help with security issues within the company. There are more and more causes for security concerns and being able to track inappropriate or harassing phone calls can help protect the employees and the company at-large.
